Katy Perry Thinks Drake Is Soft
Katy Perry broke her way into hip-hop radio stations with her single “Dark House” featuring Juicy J . With her single making tremors on all radio stations, she caught the attention of Power 105’s Breakfast Club and had an interview with them earlier this morning to discuss her new video “Birthday Cake”. While touching on a myriad of topics, she spoke on Juicy J being a kind guy, but not as soft as Drake.
The conversation first began when she spoke on her single “Dark Horse” and Juicy J. “Aww he’s so sweet,” said Katy. He’s such a sweet genuine guy. He’s such an amazing hard worker. I’ve worked with a lot of people that I’ve done little pieces on songs and not that they got an ego, but Juicy’s the kindest,” she said.
While she applauded Juicy’s kindness, she didn’t want to misconstrue his trill demeanor. Instead, she went on to throw Drake under the fire as being the ideal soft guy. “He’s like the most kindest sympathetic…I don’t want to make him out to be softer than Drake, but like,” she said before being interrupted by the gang. With her comment causing a huge uproar from the Power 105 crew, she would then reiterate by saying, “I love Drake. He’s like my secret diary.”
Jay Z Celebrates Roc Nation Sports One-Year Mark With Times Square Billboard
Always one to stunt, Jay Z celebrated his successful venture into the sports world by throwing up a massive Roc Nation Sports billboard right in the middle of New York City’s famed Times Square. Along with the billboard, Jay Z also had dinner and drinks later in the evening with New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia, Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Hakeem Nicks at Tao Nightclub in Manhattan. Long time friend and collaborator Rihanna also joined the party.

The 50 Cent-Ja Rule Beef Was A Stressful Period For Ashanti
Ashanti recently sat down to chop it up with Global Grind’s Blogzilla, discussing everything from singing most of J. Lo’s “I’m Real” to how stressful it was to have dealt with the 50 Cent-Ja Rule beef back in the day.
Unveiling that she actually wanted to keep “I’m Real” for herself, Ashanti says to was a bitter sweet feeling for J. Lo to have taken over the record. In the clip, the songstress also reveals that Murder Inc. didn’t exactly know how to handle the infamous G-Unit beef at the time and that it was an extremely stressful period.
Kanye West Might Release A Spoken Word Album
In an effort to take an innovative look at Kanye West's minimalist cover for his sixth studio album Yeezus—essentially a clear plastic jewel case—men's magazine GQ pulled together a handful of visual artists to draw on the cover with their interpretation of the album and West himself. Check out the gallery above for a detailed look at custom Yeezus covers from the likes of graffiti legend ESPO, famed tattoo artist Mister Cartoon and actor/writer/Riff Raff-impersonator James Franco. Magna Carta might be the talk of the town, but Yeezy Season continues.
Yeezy recently pushed back his Australian tour dates to finish his new album and now reports are coming in that ‘Ye may be releasing a three-hour long spoken word album. The multi-hour recording will reportedly be available on vinyl and will feature his views on the environment to his life and relationship with future-wife Kim Kardashian and the couple’s daughter, North. According to a source West, “…loves the sound of his own voice and this will be the ultimate in self-indulgence. He has very strong views from music and art to politics and the environment. He’s forever recording his opinions on tape.”
The source continued, “He says he’s doing it for posterity and thought about turning them into a book or even donating them to a museum. Kanye likes to push the boundaries and thinks this is very groundbreaking. He’s hoping it’ll win him a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album. What’s more, he planning on making 24 hours of his speech recording available to download so fans can listen to his views round the clock.”
No surprise that Kanye is doing something outside the box and it’s even less of a surprise that he would take it to this extreme. There is no word yet on whether this will be his next release or if he will be coming out with a more traditional album first. Stay tuned for more.
LIL BOOSIE"S RETURN
The coming home of Lil Boosie can be compared to the second coming of hip hop Jesus. It was the talk of every gossip site, barbershop and everything in between. Very few artist have garnered the type of prison release attention that Boosie has received (think Tupac and Snoop Dog), but on March 5, 2014 the gates of the Louisiana State Prison opened and Lil Boosie was finally free. Since his release he has wasted no time stepping back in the spotlight and catching up with the fans that have missed him greatly. He stopped by the Breakfast Club recently and spoke candidly about everything from what he did when he first touched down, to how the passing of Pimp C affected him. Lil Boosie admits that while in prison he spent most of his time preparing for his return.
He recorded over one thousand records while inside, wrote a movie script and pushed crates together, pretended it was a stage and practiced his performance skills. It was his intense preparation that allowed him to currently be booked through the summer, doing only arena performances, and selling out crowds of twelve thousand plus. First order of business upon coming home was seeing his children and getting himself some “surfbord” (the shower rod wasn’t invented yet) followed in close second. Lil Boosie admits that while he did receive conjugal visits in prison (and no he’s not married) when he came home he performed like a champ, lickin and stickin! None of this was with any of his baby mama’s by the way. He considers them friends, whom he has bonds with, but there’s no on the low creeping going on.
Boosie does however support their reality show, but has confirmed that he will not be anywhere near the camera and has no interest in doing reality t.v.; even turning down an offer of two hundred thousand and episode (yes you read that right, 200k per episode).When it comes to Lil Boosie’s pre-prison circle of people, he says he’s significantly chopped them down. “People cut themselves out”, he says “If you not with somebody when they’re down, you can’t be with them when they’re up. Clearly prison has matured Boosie, who no longer cares about hanging in the hood. “They know I’m a G regardless.” These days you’ll find him with his kids, in the studio and looking for more property and land to buy.
His album drops July 15 and he guarantees that it’s all original music that he’s written since he’s been home. Man Accused Of Murdering Free Band Associate Arrested In Florida
According to the Atlanta Constitution police have made an arrest in the murder of Free Band Associate and fellow rapper OG Double D.Dekalb police have charged a 25 year old man named Christopher Dyer in the case of the murdered rapper who was 42 years old.OG Double D who's real name was James D. Lewiel was driving his luxury Maybach when a car pulled aside him and fired 9 shots thru the window of the moving vehicle.James was pronounced dead at the scene leaving traffic on the busyfreeway backed up for miles.Family initially thought it may have been a robbery attempt as they believed it was someone who had followed him from the mall he had visited twice that day.

SAY WHAAT?! Boondocks “Pretty Boy Flizzy” Portrays “Chris Brown” Violent Tantrums
“The Boondocks” were at it again with the premier episode “Pretty Boy Flizzy" this past Monday. Aaron McGruder has always been good at making waves around at the heart of a matter. He showed us that MLK would be disappointed in us, that The Itis is a killer, and that any woman named Crystal Like theChampagne is probably hooking and doesn’t want to be saved. Season 4 of “The Boondocks,” Aaron McGruder isn’t writing for the show anymore as we last reported. Surprisingly, that still didn’t stop theseries’ new writers from tackling a big issue right off of the bat: the curious case of women who love Pretty Boy Flizzy, a.k.a. Chris Brown, because he hits women.
According to urban daily Breezy he didn’t didn’t go into too much detail about his feelings about the “Boondocks” spoof. Hopefully that would give him a different view of how he been living.As a true "Boondocks" fan I'm not surprise of the setting the of the show. I am sure Chris breezy but won't be lasttarget for the remainder of the season. OMG! Columbus Short’s Fired From Scandal
Within a few short months, Columbus Short has been through a lot of personal and now career issues. Short was allegedlyinvolved in a fight on March 15 while out celebrating an engagement at Gabe's Bar and Grill in Los Angeles, according to TMZ. After another partygoer made a comment to the actor about his wife, Short purportedly punched the man, leaving him unconscious and with a broken nose. Although this resulted in the alleged victim not wanting to press charges.
A few weeks later on April 7th Tuere Short, his wife called police to their home. She stated that, Columbus entered her room with a bottle of wine, pretended to hit her with the bottle and then poured the wine all over her, TMZ reports. She claimed that he then got a knife from their kitchen, pinned her down on a couch and began to choke her, another domestic violence celebrity drama. That wasn't all, Tuere also claimed he forced her to play a game called “Truth or Truth,” and allegedly threatened to stab her in the leg if she lied to him. A day later, she filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.
This morning things just finally hit him in his pockets. If you are a fan of Scandal, like I AM, than you know the season finale left you wondering would he come back for season 4 or not. Well, he released a statement this morning letting the world know, he will NOT be coming back for season 4. Of course he did all the thank yous and what not, but by this series of unfortunateevents, Columbus joins a long list of celebrities that are in serious need of counseling or a HUGE wake up call.

Pia, born Pia Ajdba Mia Perez, is only seventeen and “Kanye has made it clear to everyone that their relationship is strictly creative,” the insider says. But as they’ve grown closer, and the teen has become one of his trusted advisors, their relationshiphas raised eyebrows. One source who worked with the singer on a shoot in L.A. earlier this month tells Radar, “Kanye called her and theconversation sounded kind of flirty and romantic. It could be that they are just good friends but it was definitely more than just aprofessional call.”

FORMER NFL QUARTERBACK DONOVAN MCNABB SERVES ONE DAY SENTENCE
Former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb was released Thursday from an Arizona jail after serving a one-day sentence for a DUI that happened late last year. The records released by West Mesa Justice Court show that McNabb served his time Wednesday and was released Thursday morning.
McNabb, 37, was arrested Dec. 15 at the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community east of Phoenix, according to court records. A copy of the citation shows McNabb was stopped on the Loop 101 freeway just after 3 a.m. and radar clocked his Range Rover going 81 mph in a 65-mph zone. He also was cited for DUI, but no information about blood-alcohol level was on the citation. McNabb pleaded guilty on March 27 and nine days of his sentence was suspended.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office released McNabb's mug shot Thursday morning, starting a media frenzy about his arrest, which hadn't been previously reported. The agency later said in a statement that McNabb was booked into a detention facility on Wednesday by order of the West Mesa Justice Court and released after serving one day for a misdemeanor DUI charge. McNabb's Phoenix-based attorney Stephen Benedetto didn't immediately return a call Thursday seeking comment on the case. McNabb played 13 years in the NFL after being drafted with the second overall pick in 1999. He led the Philadelphia Eagles to four straight NFC championship games from 2001 to 2004 and one Super Bowl berth that ended in a 24-21 loss to the New England Patriots in 2005. McNabb played for the Washington Redskins in 2010 and Minnesota Vikings in 2011 before retiring.

Who Is the World’s Wealthiest Hip-Hop Artist? (Hint: It’s Not Jay Z)
Jay Z may be the richest human on the planet in the spouse department, but when it comes to estimated financial worth, Forbes—our culture’s aggregator of people wealthier than we are—reveals that two hip-hop artists are higher up on the list. Can you guess which two rappers turned businessmen top Jay Z, one by an estimated $180 million?
Forbes reports that that the honors go to Puff Daddy and his estimated $700 million fortune, and Dr. Dre and his approximately $550 million net worth. According to the magazine, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, or whatever the kids are calling him these days, is inching closer to billionaire status thanks to a majority stake in Revolt TV, the new multi-platform cable network and his partnership with Ciroc, which “entitles him to eight-figure annual payouts.” (You know, just like you get each year.) Dr. Dre, meanwhile, has accumulated over half of a billion dollars in worth thanks, in part, to his eponymous headphone empire, Beats by Dr. Dre, which recently received a $500 million investment from the Carlyle Group.
Jay Z falls just short of Dre with an estimated $520 million worth, which was boosted by his $204 million sale of Rocawear, in 2007, and the value of Roc Nation, the entertainment company he founded in 2008.
